Overview

Working in a small team, you will liaise with Budget Managers and support them to forecast spends across the Inclusion Service. The role involves raising Purchase Orders and managing general debts while maintaining meticulous financial records. You will interrogate large amounts of data to reconcile budgets and identify where spend belongs. Regularly you will meet with budget managers to support financial management of different areas of expenditure.

The Funding Hub is a central function of the Inclusion Service within the Strategy & Operations Team, responsible for keeping budgets up to date and ensuring timely payments to a range of providers.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Budget Managers to forecast spends across the Inclusion Service.
  • Raise Purchase Orders and manage general debts while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Analyze large data sets to reconcile budgets and allocate spend appropriately.
  • Meet regularly with budget managers to support financial management of various expenditure areas.
  • Utilize a range of systems to gather information to monitor and reconcile budgets.
Qualifications
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Great interpersonal skills to communicate with managers and external customers.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (essential) with willingness to learn new IT or web-based systems.
