AXA UK Support Functions look after our three customer-facing business units, providing the infrastructure and expertise to make sure we can be there for our customers.

At AXA UK, we're looking for a Group Tax Advisor to join us on a 12-month FTC. You'll provide the necessary support to ensure the fulfilment of employment and indirect tax compliance for specific companies on behalf of the AXA UK group. There'll also be a requirement to provide technical advice on an ad-hoc basis.

• Work closely with and support the Indirect and Employment Tax Manager to ensure compliance obligations are met.
• Document and maintain process notes for Compliance activities.
• Contribute to projects by providing analysis and advice, identifying the financial impact of proposed actions.
• Focus on self-development and contribute to team motivation.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

During your training period, you ll be expected to be in the office full-time.

• Tax experience and knowledge, with a preference for those familiar with Indirect Employment tax rules. If you re an internal employee, we will consider those from a finance background, without prior tax experience.
• Practical approach to application of tax knowledge.
• Excellent time-management with an ability to meet strict deadlines and responsible for the delivery of statutory returns, which are to be submitted to specific statutory and internal deadlines.
• Produce accurate written notes, documentation, reports, records and emails.
• Able to explain complex indirect and employment tax concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences both in writing and verbally.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels, providing timely and accurate advice.
