A leading and well-established Building Services Contractor based in Ipswich are looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to join their experienced and growing estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking for long-term stability, exposure to high-value projects, and clear career progression within a respected business.

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of commercial and industrial mechanical projects, typically valued up to £6.5 million.

• Preparing detailed mechanical cost estimates and tenders.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Value engineering and identifying cost efficiencies.
• Working closely with the wider estimating and pre‑construction team.
• Assisting with handover to the delivery teams upon project award.

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial and industrial mechanical system.
• Confident pricing projects from first principles.
• Able to work collaboratively as part of an established estimating team.
• Organised, detail‑focused, and commercially aware.
