Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
An established manufacturing and engineering business in Suffolk is looking to recruit a QHSE Adviser to support and develop its Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental function across a busy multi-site operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive QHSE professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with operations, and helping to drive a positive safety and quality culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation and administration of QHSE policies and procedures
- Maintain and support integrated management systems aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Assist with internal audits and follow-up actions from audit findings
- Carry out risk assessments and hazard identification across operational areas
- Monitor compliance with HSE legislation and industry standards
- Support incident, accident and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions
- Assist with emergency preparedness procedures and documentation
- Promote QHSE training, engagement and awareness across the workforce
- Support quality control, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure environmental compliance and support sustainability initiatives
About You:
You'll be confident, organised and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels. You're able to balance operational demands while keeping QHSE compliance front of mind.
- Proven QHSE experience (manufacturing or engineering background preferred)
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation
- Experience with risk assessments and compliance monitoring
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
- Experience or knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Internal auditing experience or qualification
- Training or coaching experience
- Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
