QHSE Adviser - £30,000 - £40,000

Ipswich
Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

An established manufacturing and engineering business in Suffolk is looking to recruit a QHSE Adviser to support and develop its Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental function across a busy multi-site operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive QHSE professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with operations, and helping to drive a positive safety and quality culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development, implementation and administration of QHSE policies and procedures
Maintain and support integrated management systems aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Assist with internal audits and follow-up actions from audit findings
Carry out risk assessments and hazard identification across operational areas
Monitor compliance with HSE legislation and industry standards
Support incident, accident and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions
Assist with emergency preparedness procedures and documentation
Promote QHSE training, engagement and awareness across the workforce
Support quality control, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement activities
Ensure environmental compliance and support sustainability initiatives

About You:

You'll be confident, organised and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels. You're able to balance operational demands while keeping QHSE compliance front of mind.

Proven QHSE experience (manufacturing or engineering background preferred)
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation

Experience with risk assessments and compliance monitoring
Excellent communication and organisational skills
NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
Experience or knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Internal auditing experience or qualification
Training or coaching experience
Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
