The Opportunity

We are working with an industry-leading engineering consultancy to recruit a Structural Engineer for their expanding Ipswich office.

This consultancy is widely recognised for delivering innovative, high-quality structural solutions on major projects across the UK and Scotland. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to technical excellence, this role offers outstanding long-term career prospects.

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of a broad range of projects across commercial, residential, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and mixed-use sectors. You will work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, contributing to technically challenging and high-profile schemes.

Key Responsibilities

Structural design using steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry

Preparation of structural calculations, reports, and specifications

Working closely with senior engineers and technicians

Liaising with clients, architects, and contractors

Supporting projects from concept design through to construction

Ensuring compliance with UK standards and Scottish regulations

About You

Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering

Experience with in a UK consultancy environment

SER Registered (Structural Engineers Registration Ltd)

Working towards or already ICE or IStruct

E chartership

Strong technical ability and attention to detail

Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
