Are you passionate about helping young people rediscover their confidence in learning?

1st Staff are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutor to support students in the Ipswich area who have been out of education for a period of time. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping students rebuild their confidence, develop key skills, and work towards recognised qualifications — with the potential to return to mainstream or further education.

• Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions in the student's home, tailoring your approach to meet individual learning needs and emotional wellbeing.
• Plan and deliver engaging, bespoke 1:1 sessions.
• Support students in core subjects (Maths, English, and other key areas as required).
• Build positive, trusting relationships.
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles.
• Support students with SEN, SEMH, and challenging behaviours.

• Experience working with SEN/SEMH students and managing challenging behaviours
• Ability to deliver core subjects tailored to individual needs
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills
• Own transport beneficial but not essential
