37.5 per week, Mon–Fri, 8:30–17:00 (1-hour lunch)
* Contract:
Permanent, full-time or term-time
* Salary: £25,000–£30,000
Who We Are Looking For
This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering engaging, creative sessions and making a real difference in the lives of young people with learning differences.
Role Overview
The tutor will plan, teach, and monitor learners’ progress, helping them build confidence, independence, and skills for life and work. The role involves creating quality curriculum and enrichment activities, supporting learners to achieve their goals, and progressing toward improved opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons on employability, independence skills, and personal development at levels 1 & 2.
* Develop engaging schemes of work and differentiated resources based on learners’ needs, including EHCPs.
* Track and assess learner progress, maintain records, and ensure high achievement and successful outcomes.
* Conduct 1:1 progress reviews and pastoral support as required.
* Organise educational trips and enrichment activities to enhance learning.
* Apply safeguarding, inclusion, and equal opportunities principles.
* Undertake continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Experience
* PTLLS/DTLLS/Cert Ed/PGCE (or willing to work towards).
* Experience teaching learners with diverse abilities and learning differences.
* Assessor qualification.
* GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or Functional Skills Level 2.
* Knowledge of EHCPs and SEN qualifications (desirable).
