Role:Head of Design and Technology
Royal Hospital School is seeking a forward-thinking and ambitious Head of Design and Technology to lead a successful department with outstanding resources in a school that values and promotes the Creative Arts and STEM. The role would suit an excellent D&T teacher ready for leadership, or an experienced Head of Department seeking a new challenge. As the role encompasses oversight of Food Technology, the ability to teach Food Technology to at least Key Stage 4 is preferred.

- Lead and develop the Design and Technology department.
- Implement curriculum and resources across Design and Technology.
- Oversee Food Technology provision and ensure delivery to Key Stage 4 standards.
- Support colleagues and foster a collaborative teaching environment.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, welfare, and health & safety policies.
- Strong background in Design and Technology teaching.
- Experience as a head of department or a forward‑looking senior teacher.
- Ability to teach Food Technology to at least Key Stage 4.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
