We are currently seeking dedicated Primary Teachers to join a specialist SEND school based in the Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds area. This is a long-term role starting ASAP, running until Easter half term 2026, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs and offers a structured, nurturing environment with a strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for every child.

Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary age range

* Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, adapting teaching approaches accordingly

* Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

* Manage behaviour positively, in line with school policies and individual support plans

* Work closely with teaching assistants, SEND staff, and pastoral teams

* Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews, targets, and EHCP outcomes

* Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant UK teaching experience

* Experience working in SEND settings or with pupils with additional needs

* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

* Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach

* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
