Teaching Assistant

Term time only (39 weeks per year), 28.33 hours per week

Permanent contract commencing as soon as possible

Salary: £16,585 to £17,115 actual per annum

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is self‑motivated, passionate about supporting teaching and learning, and can build supportive relationships with students. You will help raise their self‑esteem and develop a positive attitude to learning within a secondary academy.

You will be enthusiastic, patient and able to use your own initiative to support students in the classroom, ensuring they progress academically, socially and emotionally.

• Support students in the classroom to achieve academic, social and emotional progress
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
• Build supportive relationships with students and help maintain a positive learning environment
• Support students’ personal and pastoral development

• Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths
• Previous experience in a similar role within an educational establishment is desirable but not essential
