Who are we looking for

We're looking for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to support learners. You'll provide 1:1 and small group interventions support EHCP reviews and help learners gain independence confidence and positive outcomes. At our centre we aim to create an environment where learning is engaging and tailored to meet the needs of every learner.

8.30 am to 5.00 pm 1-hour lunch Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week (Term Time only 38 plus 2 weeks). Some flexibility on these hours may be required.

Contract Type

Fixed Term contract until Jul 26 (this contract can be extended depending on the needs of the organisation)

21546 gross per annum (FT equivalent 24570)

Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualifications & Education Holds or is willing to work towards a Level 2 Learner Support Certificate with Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.
  • Experience & Knowledge Experienced in supporting individuals in educational settings particularly 16
    -19 aged learners and those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities with a good understanding of
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to learners in both group and individual settings
  • Play an active role in classroom and physical activities alongside tutors
  • Gain on-the-job training with continued professional development (CPD)
  • Assist with lesson preparation schemes of work Individual Student Plans (ISPs) and Care Plans
  • Maintain knowledge of each learners stage of development assessments and support needs
  • Support with educational visits and accompany learners when required
  • Follow and promote safeguarding health & safety confidentiality and data protection policies
