Assistant Director​/Educational Leader

We’re seeking an Assistant Director & Educational Leader to join our team at Good Shepherd Childcare Service and Kindergarten
. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Centre Director to inspire, guide and support a dedicated team of educators, driving continuous improvement and high-quality practice.

Together, you’ll nurture a warm, inclusive environment where children aged 6 weeks to 5 years feel safe, supported and excited to learn, explore and grow. Located in the heart of Springfield Lakes
, our service is proudly connected to the school and wider community, offering a strong sense of belonging for children, families and staff alike.

• Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of the service
• Champion high-quality, inclusive education and care practices
• Lead by example and mentor educators in their professional growth
• Build strong, positive relationships with families and the community
• Step confidently into leadership when the Centre Director is away

A positive, motivated leader who is ready to grow, inspire, and make a meaningful impact.

You will have:

• A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved)
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and contemporary early childhood pedagogy
• Proven experience in an educational leadership role
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and support a team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• A collaborative, proactive, and reflective approach
• Current WWCC, First Aid, and CPR certifications
