Overview

Copesthon High School, a popular 11‑18 mixed comprehensive, has been rated a ‘good’ school by Ofsted as of December 2023. We are seeking enthusiastic Leisure Assistants to support operations in the sports centre.

Posts
  • Post 1: 20.5 hours a week – Monday 2:30–10:30 pm, Thursday 3:30–10:30 pm, Saturday 8:00–3:30 pm.
  • Post 2: 18.34 hours a week – Tuesday 4:30–10:30 pm, Thursday 4:00–10:30 pm, Friday 4:00–10:30 pm.
  • Post 3: 9 hours a week – Monday 5:30–10:30 pm and Sunday 12:30–4:30 pm.
  • Additional ad‑hoc hours may be available for staff cover and school holidays. Posts may be combined for the successful candidate.
Salary

£12.65 per hour (permanent contract, starting as soon as possible).

Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support in the sports centre.
  • Assist with daily activity oversight, ensuring safety and a positive environment for students and visitors.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance needs.
  • Contribute to a customer‑focused, communicative team with attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in a sports centre (desirable).
  • First‑aid qualification (desirable, not essential).
  • Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
  • High motivation and attention to detail.
