Freelance Site Manager

Future Build Recruitment are currently working with a great client of ours as they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build cladding project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, to specification, and within budget. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Overall management of site activities for the cladding package

* Coordination and supervision of site labour

* Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme

* Enforce health & safety standards, site inductions, RAMS, and toolbox talks

* Monitor quality control and carry out inspections throughout the build

* Liaise with the main contractor and client.

* Manage site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and permits

* Identify and resolve site issues efficiently to avoid delays

* Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations and industry standards

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on cladding projects

* Strong knowledge of external envelope systems (e.g. rainscreen, SFS, insulation, facades)

* SMSTS (or SSSTS with relevant experience)

* Valid CSCS card

* Strong understanding of health & safety legislation

* Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors effectively

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* First Aid at Work (desirable)
