As an experienced procurement professional with extensive experience in a strategic role, you will thrive in a busy commercial environment. You'll build meaningful and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive procurement excellence at every stage of the process. The role will focus on working with key stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies for services such as HR, legal expenditure, travel, training and subscriptions.

This is a fast-paced role, which requires attention to detail and working to tight deadlines. Ensuring compliance to policies and processes will enable you to drive commercial success in your role, in delivering results that meet the overall procurement strategy here orting directly to the Procurement Manager you’ll be part of the successful delivery of the overall procurement team goals.

Day-to-day you'll be responsible for all aspects of the Source to Contract cycle while considering risk and cost, up to a value of c.£10M annually, per procurement/project, considering both operational and capital expenditure requirements. You’ll play a key role in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to maximise value whilst ensuring the right level of governance is applied. You’ll also provide day to day procurement guidance and advice to other team members.

Building new relationships and working with a wide range of internal customers will be the key to success in this role. You’ll work closely with the wider procurement team, to ensure continuous improvement and best practice is shared throughout the team to optimise performance. • Manage the Source to Contract cycle up to a value of c.£10M annually per procurement/project, considering both operational and capital expenditure requirements.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for services (HR, legal expenditure, travel, training and subscriptions).
• Build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive procurement excellence at every stage.
• Ensure compliance with policies and processes to drive commercial success and meet the procurement strategy.
• Provide day‑to‑day procurement guidance and advice to other team members.
• Collaborate with the wider procurement team to share best practices and optimise performance.
• Support professional development and recognition (e.g., World Contracting & Commerce certification and CIPS membership).

• Strong technical procurement skills with the ability to drive best practice and excellent negotiation skills; ability to implement opportunities for innovation.
• Comfortable challenging stakeholders and demand while providing prompt, efficient and personalised service to internal customers at all levels.
• Effective communication and adherence to departmental policies and processes.
• Strong commercial acumen; proficient in negotiating terms and conditions to minimise commercial and contractual exposure.
• Self-starter with a can‑do attitude; able to work across teams and geographies to align and prioritise opportunities.
• Qualification note: CIPS or Project Management qualifications are advantageous, but demonstrable experience in a similar role is also valued.
