Join Our Team as a Document Controller!
Are you passionate about ensuring project deliverables are executed seamlessly? Do you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client, a global leader in energy technology, is seeking a dedicated Document Controller to join their team based in Ipswich. This is a temporary position for an initial duration of 6 months, working full-time (40 hours per week).
Position Overview:
As a Document Controller, you will play a vital role in managing project contract deliverables through our document management system throughout the full project lifecycle. You'll ensure that all documentation is accurately controlled, quality-checked, issued, reviewed, and archived in line with project, client, and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Control & Project Support: - Manage project deliverables using approved document management systems.
- - Allocate document numbers and create document placeholders.
- - Set up and manage supplier document packages.
- - Perform QA checks on incoming and outgoing deliverables.
- - Manage document review workflows in line with project timelines.
- - Distribute workflow comments among clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- - Prepare and manage hard copy submissions to site.
- - Coordinate submission and handover of As-Built documentation.
Collaboration & Communication:
- - Interact effectively with the wider project team.
- - Communicate with external stakeholders including clients and suppliers.
- - Support the Document Control team as needed, acting as a reliable team player.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Document Control.
- Support standardisation and best practises in document management processes.
Who You Are:
- You have project-based Document Control experience and experience using Document Management Systems.
- You possess strong quality awareness and excellent communication and reporting skills.
- A good standard of education is essential, and training in Document Control or Configuration Control is desirable.
- A full UK driving licence is required due to site access limitations.
