This is an associate‑to‑hire opportunity for a company in Walford, IA.

• Unload inbound shipments, verifying merchandise matches shipping documents; move merchandise to storage, properly documenting put‑away locations and reporting any shipment discrepancies.
• Pick orders and prepare for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is ready for shipment; properly load shipments.
• Locate and re‑locate merchandise allowing for the best space utilization and picking efficiencies.
• Keep accurate records of stock moves, receipts, and shipments for reporting to warehouse office personnel.
• Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner to eliminate personal injuries, merchandise damage, and damage to the warehouse.
• Operate various types of attachments and equipment required to handle merchandise.
• Inspect forklifts daily to identify any potential problems with the equipment and report these potential problems to Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
• Perform minor maintenance on forklifts that can be accomplished with the tools available and the employee’s ability.
• Use of Forklift, Floor Scrubber, and Slipsheet, required.
• Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment cleaning.
• Understand the importance of participating in sanitation, pest control, and all other actions that promote food safety within the warehouse operation.
• Support the company goals, mission, and growth by representing the company positively to potential employment candidates, customers, and community members when appropriate.

• Experience driving a forklift and/or prior exposure to a warehouse environment preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is required as it pertains to inventory transactions and ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Basic math computation of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic PC skills.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of concentration while operating a forklift and documenting inventory transactions.
• Ability to solve problems including space utilization.
• Must be able to constantly "get on and off" a forklift throughout the day.
• Must be able to stoop, walk, and bend.
• Must be able to lift consistently a minimum of 50 and maximum of 60 pounds.
