Overview
US Foods is seeking a driver. This position requires a valid CDL Class A with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications, doubles endorsement, and the ability to work overnight. This role is part of the US Foods team, a large food distributor emphasizing internal promotion, training, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites
- May be called upon to perform duties of Backhaul or Delivery Driver
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- 6 months commercial driving experience required
- Doubles endorsement required AND minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferred
- Must be comfortable working overnight
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
Pay starts at $31.05 per hour. The base rate may adjust based on experience and other factors. Overtime and retention bonus may apply. Compensation depends on relevant experience, education, skills, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $31.05 and $32.10.
