Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL truck driver in Missouri Valley, IA.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.63 per mile with 1700–2200 miles per week
• No Touch Stops Pay: $28.00 per stop – average 5 stops per week
• Touch Stops Pay: $67.00 per stop – average 5 stops per week
• Per Diem Pay: $65.00 per night with 3–4 nights per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday night or Monday morning through Friday
• Start Time: 7:00 AM dispatch

• Uniforms and boot allowance provided
• Paid personal time off from day one – 80 hours accrued in first year
• Paid personal time policy: use earned vacation time; unused balance paid at hourly rate

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
