Diesel Field Technician

Overview

Are you a problem solver with a passion for all things diesel? Do you enjoy working independently and being on the road servicing customers where they are? Rexco Equipment is seeking a Field Technician to join our team of dedicated individuals who value people and a positive team culture. This role involves hands-on work with machinery that keeps customers running smoothly.

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment from the Bobcat line up to Link-Belt excavators and other heavy construction equipment.
• Operate a service truck to visit customers at their locations within Southeast Iowa, with occasional overnight travel as needed.
• Punch on and off work orders and document a detailed description of work performed on each machine.
• Provide timely and accurate problem solving to minimize machine downtime for customers.

• High school diploma or GED; three to five years of related experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mastery of key performance metrics such as Technician Efficiency Rate, Recovery Rate, and Rework.
• Own general tools of the trade to ensure readiness for maintenance and repair tasks.
