M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a full-time Field Mechanic/Shop Mechanic to join our team on-site in Center Point, IA. The role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on a wide variety of heavy equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and minimizing equipment downtime.
Qualifications- Experience in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair
- Hands-on expertise with Heavy Equipment and its operation
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring equipment safety and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and operating tools and equipment
- Prior experience in a similar role, with certifications or trade school training in mechanics being a plus
- A valid driver’s license is required
