Job Type: Full-time with overtime

Experience:

1 year preferred (Will train)

Reports to:

Foreman, no supervisory responsibility

Wage: $23 - 26 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

The General Laborer - Paving will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the concrete paving industry. The General Laborer is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.

* Perform a variety of tasks in the concrete paving industry.

* Operate tools and equipment as needed.

* Set baskets for highway paving.

* Help set up and tear down job site for paving projects.

* Lift heavy objects, maintain, repair, and clean equipment.

* Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment as needed.

* Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours).

Position Requirements :

* Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.

* Basic maintenance skills.

* Experience and knowledge of general construction and operating equipment.

* Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal.

* Operate hand and foot controls

* Simple/Firm grasping/Pinching

* Ability to lift/lower/carry over 50 pounds
