Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide daily maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment and grounds. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service, performing a variety of work order tasks, while exhibiting an attitude of service and cooperation. This position collaborates with coworkers and staff in completing assigned duties.

• Maintain grounds including lawn mowing and snow removal.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems (includes changing light bulbs, electrical motors).
• Set up for college events and tear down as needed.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems, repair or work with external plumber.
• Service equipment (includes the fleet) including minor mechanical repairs.
• Perform carpentry and painting tasks.
• Obtain estimates for projects.
• Assist in HVAC duties.
• Work on locks and door parts.
• Maintain fire alarm system.
• Inspect doors ensuring they are secured for the night. Dispose of garbage, recyclable materials, and shredded materials in the appropriate containers. Inspect and clean dormitories. Replenish paper and soap dispensers. Assist with vehicle deliveries, moving furniture, floor installations, and the hanging/removal of flags as required. Will assist with on-call support as needed.
• Work and communicate professionally with others in a timely manner. Perform in a manner which benefits student learning.
• Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: Completion of High school/GED is required.

Abilities: Knowledge of maintenance equipment and procedures. Ability to repair maintenance equipment. Skilled in cutting and measuring lumber. Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers and staff. Ability to work in an environment where priorities change quickly. Knowledge of and ability to safely operate power tools. Good organizational skills in prioritizing daily work orders. Valid State Driver's License required; OSHA certification, Forklift Operator certification, First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Base Wage: $16.18-$21.57 per hour - actual salary will be based on experience and education.
