Overview
Location - Emmetsburg, IA
ASI-Contracting is looking for a grain bin technician to join our crew. As a grain bin technician your primary purpose will be service calls, repairs, and a variety of other tasks. This position will be working outside in all kinds of weather conditions. We are looking for a safety-oriented person to become a valuable asset to our team.
PayPAY: $15.00-$20.00 or higher based on experience (possible wage increase after 60 days based on performance)
HoursHOURS: Primarily: 7am-5pm, Monday thru Friday (occasional weekends)

- Move machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks
- Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers and plumb bobs
- Assemble machinery and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures, using hand and power tools
- Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment
- Attach load with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains to crane hook
- Set up braces, and rigs hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches
- Follow instruction and safety procedures on the job site
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills and other tools as directed by supervisor
- Work at heights without fear
- Make decisions based on measurable information
- Provide labor support as needed for specialty crews
- Listen and follow instruction from supervisor
- Preform other tasks as needed and directed by supervisor
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of related experience and knowledge in grain bins and grain handling equipment
- Operated:
Skid-loader, Forklift, Impacts, Chop Saws, and a variety of other hand & power tools - Welding
Experience:
Arc/stick, Wire feed, Torch - Able to read tape measure
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
- Self-motivated
- Climb and maintain body balance at heights of 100ft. or more on ladders, scaffolding, or high structures
- Lift 60lbs regularly
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
- Full range of body movements
- Workdays maybe from 45+ hours per week, or as needed to meet customer demand
- Could include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
- Traveling to jobsites in company vehicle
- Most of the time will be spent outside in all types of weather including hot and cold
