Business Development Lead

With a growing portfolio of brands serving high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial markets, Kuzco continues to invest in strategic growth within our Trade Division.

Kuzco Group is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Lead to expand and strengthen our Trade Division through focused trade outreach and relationship development.

This role is responsible for building meaningful connections within the design and specification community, generating qualified project opportunities, and driving measurable revenue growth. The successful candidate will help increase Kuzco’s presence in high-end residential and hospitality sectors while aligning opportunities with our regional sales structure to support successful execution.

This position requires approximately 25% travel for in-market relationship development and industry engagement.

• Expand Kuzco’s presence within the design and hospitality specification community
• Generate qualified trade opportunities across high-end residential and hospitality markets
• Build and manage a strong project pipeline
• Contribute directly to trade-driven revenue growth

Trade Outreach & Relationship Development

• Lead and execute Kuzco’s Trade Outreach Program strategy
• Develop and nurture relationships with interior designers, architects, developers, purchasing firms, and hospitality groups
• Identify projects early in the specification cycle and position Kuzco as a preferred lighting partner
• Represent Kuzco at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
• Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within target verticals
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value trade projects
• Partner with regional sales representatives to ensure smooth opportunity handoff and account development
• Track outreach activity, conversion metrics, and revenue impact

Market Development & Strategic Insight

• Monitor market trends and competitive activity within luxury residential and hospitality sectors
• Provide feedback to marketing and product development teams based on trade engagement
• Identify opportunities for deeper penetration in priority markets

• 3–5+ years of relevant business development experience within high-end residential, hospitality, or FF&E sectors
• Experience in lighting, homewares, or design-driven product industries strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success generating leads and contributing to measurable sales growth
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness
• Comfortable traveling approximately 25%
