About the Role: Drive growth in sales and profitability by providing tailored products, solutions, and services to agricultural clients within an established territory, supporting both individual producer success and overall company performance.
Responsibilities- Actively promote and sell a range of agricultural products, including crop protection, fertilizers, seeds, and agronomic services.
- Expand market share and revenue by building relationships with new and existing customers across the assigned region.
- Provide timely and accurate product and program guidance to help clients optimize crop production and business outcomes.
- Maintain frequent communication with team members to share insights on crop conditions, customer needs, and industry trends.
- Support precision agriculture initiatives and coordinate related services at the location level.
- Collaborate with management to ensure product availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient distribution.
- Assist with pricing, billing, and order fulfillment to guarantee smooth operations.
- Prepare regular reports detailing customer interactions, market intelligence, and competitor activity.
- Support accounts receivable processes and assist with collections as needed.
- Address client concerns promptly and work with management to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and personal growth initiatives.
- Help develop and execute individual and department marketing strategies.
- Maintain and update customer and prospect records in the CRM system.
- Ensure all required certifications and licenses are current and comply with regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Solid understanding of crop science and agronomy to advise clients on production strategies, product selection, and management practices for improved yield and quality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and a results-oriented work ethic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage change, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
This role has a strong base salary, a bonus, excellent benefits and both 401K and Pension plans. Company vehicle provided.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks requiring flexibility, bending, or twisting.
- Capacity to spend extended time working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May require use of personal protective equipment for certain tasks.
