Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3x12 Hours (36 Hours per Week)
Pay Rate: $2000 – $2200 Weekly
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg for a 13-week contract assignment in Chariton, IA. The Med Surg RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to physicians and the healthcare team
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Assist with diagnostic tests and medical procedures
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience
• Active RN license in the state of Iowa or compact license
• BLS certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
