Charge Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Southern Hills Specialty Care, a 90‑bed long‑term care skilled nursing community located in Osceola, IA, is now hiring a Charge Nurse – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This is a full‑time position with every other weekend.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated LPN who can deliver skilled nursing care and supervise support staff in a high‑quality, person‑centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver skilled nursing care under the supervision of an RN or DON.
  • Supervise CNAs and other support staff to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and compassionate care environment.
Qualifications
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (Iowa or ability to activate).
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Completion of a State‑approved LPN Supervisory Course or willingness to complete within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state long‑term care regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for resident‑centered care.
