Van Buren County Hospital is seeking two dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Med/Surg team. This position provides professional nursing care to acute, sub-acute, and chronically ill patients while supporting our “One Culture” values of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Choose from two fixed day-shift schedules:
Mon–Wed, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Tue–Thu, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Essential Functions
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for a diverse population.
Safely perform nursing procedures, administer medications, and respond to emergencies.
Educate patients and families on disease management, treatments, and discharge planning.
Document patient status and care plans in the electronic health record.
Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality outcomes.
Promote VBCH’s cultural values through professional, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Iowa RN license or compact state license.
BLS certification required; ACLS required or willing to obtain.
PALS/TNCC encouraged or obtainable within one year (for cross-training to ED).
Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
