We are looking for a motivated, caring and compassionate person to join our Acute Care/Medical Surgery/ER Team! When a hospital stay is required following an injury, illness, or surgery, our patients have peace of mind knowing Virginia Gay Hospital Acute Care will provide quality care. Acute Care/ER patients can be assured our team of skilled medical practitioners is working around the clock to help heal and make their stay as stress‑free as possible.

• Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting, utilizing core nursing skills such as catheterization, IV insertion, and patient assessment.
• Administer basic life support and assist with tube feeding as needed.
• Utilize EMR and EHR systems to accurately document patient information and care provided.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing patient airways and providing health coaching when necessary.
• Maintain RN license and adhere to all regulatory requirements and standards of practice.

• Must have a valid RN License or Paramedic license/certification.
• Proficiency in catheterization, basic life support, IV insertion, EMR systems, EHR systems, patient care, physiology knowledge, patient assessment, and tube feeding.

Full-time Nights – Weekend Option; 12N, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with every 6th weekend off.
