Salary Range: $24.00 - $36.00
Support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanent address.
Additional $5 per hour float premium.
Additional $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential; 6:00pm – 6:00am.
Required to work at least 30 hours per month and at least one weekend shift per month.
3 months of previous experience in Long Term Care required; 6 months preferred.
Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles relevant to the clinical setting. Practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age and population-specific standards to address residents' physical and psychosocial needs as per care plan.
Performs testing to evaluate resident status and provides necessary care. Recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively in emergencies.
Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Contributes to resident assessments, administers medications or treatments as ordered, and provides technical support to healthcare professionals. Documents interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary aspects. Maintains effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public. Communicates clearly, maintains confidentiality, and counsels residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
Knowledge of resident education principles to develop self-care programs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. An Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
If required for the position, IV therapy/management skills must be obtained through a Board-approved AASPN program or an approved IV Therapy course, especially in North Dakota.
Must have completed a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience or have at least 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility. Additional education or experience may be required for specific services/positions.
Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges. Maintains required competencies, certifications, and completes annual CEUs and training.
