This position is a night shift position with rotating weekend coverage. You will cover every 5th weekend. As a Full Time or Part Time Patient Care Unit RN at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, you will play a vital role in accurately recording patient information throughout their admission, stay, and discharge process. Your exceptional attention to detail and meticulous documentation skills will ensure that patient records are complete and up-to-date. Additionally, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing physician orders in a timely manner, ensuring that patient care plans are executed effectively.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to initiate and perform ongoing patient and family education in all nursing service departments, empowering patients to take an active role in their healthcare journey. Your strong communication skills will also be crucial as you communicate patient observations to healthcare providers in a timely manner, allowing for prompt and effective interventions. To excel in the role of Full Time or Part Time Patient Care Unit RN at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, several key skills and qualifications are necessary. Firstly, you should have a strong educational foundation, with a graduation from an accredited RN program and a valid license with the Iowa Board of Nursing. Additionally, current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) are essential to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.

A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, as it demonstrates a commitment to continued learning and professional development. Proficiency in relevant software and tools will be required to accurately record patient information and transcribe physician orders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively educate patients and their families and relay patient observations to healthcare providers.

Salary: $30.93 - $46.40 per hour
