Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner - PRN

Overview

Hiring Nurse Practitioner(s) to work PRN in the Emergency Department. PRN availability will be utilized in 12 to 24 hour shifts.

• Responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in an emergency room setting.
• Responsible for stabilizing critical patients, providing health education and counseling, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and referring patients to specialists.
• Must have strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to make quick and critical decisions in an emergency setting.

• Education:
  
  Current Iowa licensure as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse required. Must have certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
• Experience:
  
  Clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or Intensive Care Unit

Employee must remain onsite during shifts.
