Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Iowa or compact state

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• Ability to float to Med Surg unit as needed

• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver expert patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit, supporting mothers through labor, delivery, and postpartum stages

• Monitor fetal and maternal health, administer medications, and assist with deliveries

• Float to Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit as required, providing high-quality clinical support

• Document patient care accurately using Epic Care EMR

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

• Participate in a 1:3 weekend rotation
