Some charge nurse functions are:
Assures resident care according to the accepted standards.
Observes, assesses, and reports resident condition/changes and documents in record.
Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.
Receives, transcribes and implements physician’s order.
Implements and evaluates care plans.
Identifies and secures equipment supplies
Directs, hold accountable and oversees subordinates
Monitors infection control compliance
Investigates and documents accidents and incidents.
