Float Registered Nurse

Van Buren County Hospital is hiring a Full-Time Float RN. This position offers flexible weekday scheduling (no weekends/holidays) and covers multiple departments including Med-Surg, ER, Clinic, OR, and Infusion.

Van Buren County Hospital is hiring a skilled and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are confident in their clinical skills and enjoy variety in their day-to-day responsibilities. The Float RN works across multiple departments and receives a schedule two weeks in advance with no weekend or holiday requirements.

• Flexible scheduling – mix of 3×12 or 4×10 shifts
• Day or night shifts, Monday–Friday only
• Schedule assigned two weeks in advance

• Med-Surg
• Emergency Department
• Primary Care Clinics
• Operating Room (Circulating or Scrub Nurse)

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple hospital departments
• Respond to trauma alerts and follow emergency protocols
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and execute nursing interventions
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and families
• Document accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and support the VBCH culture

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (within 1 year of hire)
• PALS certification (within 1 year of hire)
• TNCC certification (within 2 years of hire)
