Plus $2.50 Shift Premium

Weekend

Shift: Friday-Sunday

6:00am-6:00pm

Job Objectives for introduction to B Operators with the intention of progressing to an A Operator status when qualifications are met. Completes assembly operation on any product in a safe manner consistent with established quality standards and production schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Working in a safety conscience manner.
  • Receive and understand daily assignments from Assembly Coach, Assembly Assistant Coach or Designee.
  • Restock immediate workstation.
  • Ensure part quality by setting aside damaged or unusable parts in accordance with procedures or after consulting with Assembly Coach, Assembly Assistant Coach, or Designee.
  • Accurately records daily production.
  • Maintains work area in a cleared and orderly condition.
  • Follows established housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Maintains a good attendance record.
  • Responsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports Tri Mark's mission, vision and values for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.
  • This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and get along with co-workers.
  • A generally positive attitude and good behavior must be maintained.
  • Improvements in productivity and good quality must be seen during probation period and continue to follow through during employment after probation period is over.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required

    • Ability to interpret blueprints, process sheets, job cards, and operating instructions and procedures in a clear and concise manner.

    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

    • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees on a regular basis.

    Judgment Required

    • Determine quality of components or finished parts in accordance with quality assurance procedures.

    • Recommend corrective action to improve the quality of production and product in assigned area.

    Core Competencies

    • Listen to others and communicate in a professional manner.

    • Skills acquired to operate machines, gauging and equipment as necessary in Assembly.

    • Ability to perform visual, functional and measurable checks of product quality per procedures.

    • Assist new employees by helping them and answering questions they might have.

    • Ability to effectively communicate with anyone on the Assembly floor.

    Progression to A Operator:
    An Operator is considered fully trained after a minimum 3-year period; they have been trained for 6 months in each major Product Family Group and are competent in all areas listed below for Single and 2 Person jobs, Latches, Housing, Handles, Miscellaneous and Specialty.

    A B Operator has met all the criteria needed to be an A Operator:
  • Safety:
    Must be safety conscience.
  • Quality:
    Must not have had more than 1 quality spill attributed to the operator.
  • Teamwork:
    Must get along well with others and always be helpful.
  • Attitude:
    Must have a generally good attitude.
  • Behavior:
    Must abide by Tri Mark Values.
  • Good Attendance:
    Has not exceeded points allowed and is not in a PIP.
  • Productivity:
    Performance must be > 95% average for an assessed time period.
  • In Good Standing:
    Must not have any active disciplinary actions in the accessed time period
  • These criteria will be assessed by the Assembly Coach and the Assistant Assembly Coach in a consistent and unbiased manner.

    Working Conditions

    Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet the company's business demands.

    Exposure to hazards of machine operations and irritants such as grease, lubricants, and coolant. The area is dry with seasonal variations in temperature. The noise level is 80-90.

    Uniform safety practices consist of safety shoes, safety glasses, hair short or tied back. This area requires normal or corrected vision, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees and no color deficiency. Hearing protection is not required but is available.
