Job Summary

The shipper/warehouse position is responsible for sending and receiving all materials necessary within our warehouse system. This includes, but it is not limited to, finished product, various production components, and raw materials. The bulk of the position is 90% outdoor shipping, receiving and material handling, however, during quiet shipping periods, assisting with Warehouse and Secondary operations is required.

This job is for you if...

- You have experience operating forklifts, specifically, large yard trucks (8000lb capacity).

- You have extensive experience handling large loads of materials safely, and efficiently.

- You can do pre-shift equipment inspections, and identify and report any concerns that may affect the safe operation of the fork lift

- You can work effectively alone, or as a team member.

• You like to work with your hands and don't mind the "dirty" jobs or heavy lifting.

• You aren't afraid of working in the elements outside (hot, cold, ect).

- You are very organized, energetic, and can 'take ownership' of the shipping yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Competent operation and awareness to ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading.
• Inspect incoming trailers/vans/vehicles, to ensure safe loading/unloading operations.

- Communicate with Plant admin, CSRs, for daily logistics planning

- Communicate with drivers to ensure safe loading and unloading of products

• Forklift operation; handling pallets, molds, product, raw materials, scrap, ect. Training and certification required and provided by the company prior to forklift operations.

• Maintain an organized yard by ensuring materials are stored, labelled, and organized correctly in yard. Components may require palletizing, steel banding, shrink wrapping, etc.

• Works in the warehouse and/or Secondary as needed to maintain proper production levels, machine efficiencies, and complete secondary requirements of tanks from the yard or special request fittings (please see the Secondary job description for detailed summaries of the individual position).

• Responsible for accurate completion of cycle counts.

• Responsible for the documentation of items received through completion of the necessary paperwork.

• Acknowledges and complies with all safety program and policies.

• Perform other related duties as required.

Physical Requirements

The Shipper/Warehouse position is classified as heavy work. The employee must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environmental conditions with exposure to the following physical activities; climbing, balance, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 100 pounds.

This position will have exposure to heights, humidity, heat, cold, noise, vibration, moving mechanical parts, forklift traffic and tractor trailer traffic.
