Job Summary
The Final Assembly Technician is an entry-level position responsible for assembling and inspecting ruggedized computer systems under direct supervision. This role supports company goals by ensuring that components are correctly assembled to meet quality and delivery standards. Key functions include learning and following work instructions, reading drawings, performing basic troubleshooting, and supporting a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities- Assemble electronic and mechanical components using standard work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and report hazards or near misses.
- Accurately record time, material usage, and issues in Epicor and VKS.
- Perform basic troubleshooting with limited assistance.
- Perform tasks with limited autonomy; relies on guidance from leads and supervisors.
- No direct decision-making authority follows established procedures and work instructions.
- May assist with team-based builds or small projects.
- Epicor, VKS, Microsoft Teams, Email, IM
- Hand tools, barcode scanners, multimeters
- Intranet, SOPs, and company training systems (CABEM)
Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical assembly processes
- Understand of company policies and safety practices
- Familiarity with IPC-610/620 standards (through certification)
- Time tracking in Epicor
- Basic computer navigation and use of VKS
- Effective verbal communication with team
- Ability to follow work instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently on simple tasks and within a team setting
- Ability to accept feedback and learn continuously
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person").
Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment with consistent exposure to the manufacturing floor and testing environments. May require lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods of time.
