Starting Wage: $21.29/hr.
OverviewJob Objective:
To operate machining equipment in the CNC area, Rod Bending area, or the Brake Press in the Laser area. Must be able to make minor adjustments when needed while complying with safety, maintaining quality criteria, and following production schedules.
- Review the work schedule to determine what jobs are to be started or completed.
- Set up and operate all machining department equipment with assistance from the A Operator in accordance with the tool setup instructions, engineering drawings and specifications for the particular order to be run.
- Make necessary adjustments to programs, tools, and equipment, as necessary to facilitate production and quality standards.
- Periodically inspect parts with blueprint specifications to assure proper dimensioning and quality.
- Maintain proper lubrication of equipment and clean machine.
- Maintain accurate production records.
- Notify Process Engineering, Manufacturing Coordinator or Manufacturing Manager of operating problems.
- Provide information to maintenance and the tool room to assist in diagnosing equipment or tooling problems.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition using 5S principles to minimize safety hazards and lost time accidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.

Average mechanical aptitude.
Skill in making minor adjustments on all equipment tooling and programs, which is learned on the job.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Skill in using common hand tools and various types of measuring instruments; calipers, micrometers.
Ability to work cooperatively with other employees.
The ability to stay positive with a good attitude and values Trimark’s Core Values.
Judgment RequiredTo determine the quality of parts produced.
To operate a forklift and other machinery in a safe manner.
To determine the cause of improper parts so adjustments can be made at a minimum of time.
To ensure the machine is receiving proper lubrication and maintenance.
To perform all necessary setups.

Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet the company’s business demands.
Exposure to hazards of machine operation and some contact with oils, lubricants, and coolants with occasional oil fumes in the area. Noise levels are between 90-95. The work area is a controlled environment.
Uniform safety practices consist of safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other devices as required. This area requires normal or corrected vision, normal depth perception, peripheral vision of 180 degrees, and no color deficiency.
