Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Salary: $52,000-$58,240 per year

Shift: 1st; 2nd

Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm; 1:30pm-10:00pm (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; use hoists, cranes, hand and power tools; examine form and texture of parts.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitor compliance.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, determining inventory levels, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies appropriately to achieve job results.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform building, lighting, and plumbing repairs for the facility as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of several years of solid work history. Include details of your work experience on your resume.
  • Will read, write, speak, and communicate efficiently in English with a wide variety of people and personalities.
  • Will perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Will keep legible and accurate records.
  • Will read follow verbal and written instructions and company‑posted work and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Will follow all safety rules and regulations, perform all duties safely and efficiently, and wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety shoes and hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Will conform to all good manufacturing practices and be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area and overall facility cleanliness.
  • Will have adequate vision ability (depth perception and field of vision) to move around the facility safely and distinguish colors.
  • Will work in all areas of the facility, both inside and outside, and on all floors.
  • Will walk/stand for the duration of up to a 12‑hour shift and be able to twist, bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Will hear and talk on an ongoing basis in an atmosphere of moderate and loud noise.
