The Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient and effective set-up and operating off all machines in the machine shop including but not limited to, band saws, chop saws, drill presses, punch presses, circular saws, power tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools. They should have the ability to be self-sufficient and act as a trainer for all lower-level Machine Operators.

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Change tools, blades, drills, as necessary
• General upkeep and basic maintenance of machines in machine shop
• Organizing and storing of cut materials
• Inventory raw and cut materials
• 5S of work area, including tools and machines
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints, and/or cut sheets
