Location: Osceola
The Welder / Grinder is responsible for basic understanding and competency in welding and grinding of a variety of different metals, shapes, tanks, vessels, piping, components, etc. This position performs precision smoothing, polishing, and grinding of surfaces.
Essential Job Functions- Set up, operate, and maintain manual welding, grinding, and/or cutting equipment.
- Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the industry.
- Inspect and perform quality checks to ensure conformance to established tolerances and specifications.
- Perform inspection of work pieces for quality defects and communicate appropriately.
- Perform welding and grinding procedures accurately to avoid warping, shrinking, and distortion.
- Position and secure work pieces safely using overhead cranes, hoists, and other appropriate lifting devices.
- Grind work pieces to a #4 (32 RA) finish using approved safety processes and procedures.
- Set up, perform, and maintain various types of polishing equipment as needed.
- Obtain and maintain at least one ASME Certification to be used as required.
- Meet all company quality standards and follow defined SOP’s.
- Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
- Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of metal working process’s.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, etc.
- Basic knowledge of grinding abrasives and material surface finishes.
- Understanding of manufacturing tools and their proper use.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Willingness to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions while working independently.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to operate various Powered Industrial Vehicles.
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year welding and/or grinding experience preferred.
$25.00 - $29.29 per hour
Variable Compensation Range:Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary based on company performance (as of 2024).

Exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, noise and high‑degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.
Professional office environment with some time spent in a manufacturing shop. Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets, etc.). Frequent presence on the manufacturing floor as well as field operations. Exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, noise and high‑degree varying seasonal temperatures.
