Job Title: Painter II

FLSA Status: Hourly / Non‑Exempt

Department: Operations

Shift: 1st

What we are looking for:

Paint is responsible for prepping, cleaning, and checking the quality of parts before and after parts travel through the paint line.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Prep parts for powder coating or wet painting by cleaning with lacquer thinner and rags
  • Hang prepped parts on the paint line
  • Apply powder coat to bare metal
  • Remove painted parts from the paint line and match parts with the correct documentation
  • Identify poor quality parts
  • Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require
  • Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
  • Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally – Pushing/Pulling, Keyboarding, Pinching, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs
  • Frequently – Walking, Reaching, Gripping, and Lift/Carry up to 25lbs
  • Constantly – Standing and Lift/Carry up to 10lbs

* Occasionally – Occurs up to 1/3 of the time

* Frequently – Occurs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time

* Constantly – Occurs 2/3 or more of the time
