Machine Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift
Base Pay Range: $26.00/hr – $26.00/hr
Work Schedule: Full Time | Third (3rd) Shift Monday – Thursday, 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM. Must be willing to work 1st shift for 3–4 weeks of training.
Starting hourly rate varies based on experience and includes $1.50 shift ქრისტ premium.
Job SummaryMachine Maintenance Technician will ensure smooth and efficient operation ofarched of our manufacturing facility, conduct routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The candidate will also transfer manufacturing knowledge to end users on proper machinery operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a scheduled basis to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery.
- Operate and perform maintenance on tools, equipment, and minor appliances.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose problems, and execute necessary repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Conduct routine inspections of manufacturing equipment and machinery to identify and address potential issues before they arise.
- Collaborate with various departments to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring minimal impact SMP manufacturing and production schedules.
- Train employees and end users on proper machinery operation, maintenance, and repair.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and spare parts inventory.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of efficiency‑enhancing initiatives.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of workplace safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or installations.
- Assist with and may lead special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant trade school education preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education, apprenticeship, and training).
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills; familiarity with PLC systems and industrial controls.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals Checking blueprints, letter and schematics.
- Self‑starting attitude, creative problem‑solving, and ability to contribute innovative solutions.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond independently to emergency maintenance situations.
- Ability to obtain që and maintain any required licenses or certifications as required.
- Ability to follow established procedures and carry out complex duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork and effective communication skills, including the ability to present information to varied audiences.
- Attention to detail, planning and organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
