Overview

Finishing/ Wet Spray Operations Technician at Geater Machining & Manufacturing (GMM), located in Independence, IA, is seeking a full-time team member to join our operations.

As a Finishing/ Wet Spray Operations Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge equipment in a high-performance culture. This position offers competitive pay and strong benefits.

• Mix, prepare, and apply paint, ink, or other coating agents to products or materials to enhance and/or provide corrosion resistance per manufacturing requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine prepping / deprepping.
• Mix paints and inks with proper thinner solution to obtain correct consistency for application.
• Apply paint in accordance with product requirements. Mask parts and clean parts.
• Select holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials for proper application of paints.
• Verify finished parts meet specifications and blueprints using measuring devices.

• Record of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn and grow.
