The Wall Assembler I is responsible for assembling wall components, stocking lumber, plates, and other materials, and banding/stacking finished products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lay out wall component supplies and materials on carts or the floor.
  • Stock plates for component setup.
  • Assemble components under the guidance of line leaders.
  • Load and band finished materials on carts or pallets.
  • Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area.
  • Assist in setting up the component assembly process.
  • Monitor production workflow and assist other areas as needed.
  • Operate equipment used in the assembly process.
  • Follow safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintain regular attendance as per company policy.
  • Keep the work environment clean and organized, including trash disposal and bay/staging areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels as required.
  • Stay aware of the work environment to produce error-free and damage-free results.
  • Participate in and complete training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Required Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
    • Prior carpentry experience preferred.
    • Ability to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
    • Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
    • Availability for overtime as needed.
