Calibre Mining is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team located near Eureka and Ely, Nevada. About the Job

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs in all areas of the Pan Mine and Gold Rock sites. This includes, but is not limited to, the ADR plant, crushing facilities, office buildings, light vehicles, some equipment, and water systems.

Essential Functions
  • Performs daily maintenance activities on various stationery and mobile equipment;
  • Performs basic welding and oxy acetylene cutting;
  • Identifies bolts by size, grade, and thread pitch (metric and standard);
  • Performs equipment walk around and work area inspections to identify, minimize and correct safety hazards to keep equipment properly maintained;
  • Keeps proper records and daily production schedules for submitting reports on production and maintenance as directed by supervision;
  • Monitors equipment and systems to ensure proper operation;
  • Observes proper operation of crushing system;
  • Assists in operation and clean up at the crusher;
  • Proven ability to operate a backhoe, telehandler forklift, manlift, and other equipment;
  • Effective communication skills, as well as interpersonal, problem solving, basic math skills, ability to inform others using radio communication or other means of communication;

Experience and Training
  • Minimum of three (3) to four (4) years process maintenance experience, preferably in the mining industry preferred
    .
  • Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical components preferred
    .
  • Experienced with welding and fabrication required
    .
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of process equipment.
  • Prior experience in carbon adsorption plants and crushing systems a plus.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions and provide feedback required
    .
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
    .
  • Proven experience handling multiple projects as assigned while maintaining production goals.
  • Organized with attention to detail and ability to recognize safety, environmental, and operational concerns or issues.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with others with an excellent safety and attendance record required.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold, wet, hot and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When in the field, appropriate hearing protection may be needed.

Safety

Expected to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while in a production environment (Hard hat, Steel Toed Boots and Reflective Visible Clothing/Vest) or as required for the specific job duty. Must be able to wear a respirator to perform specific job duties by utilizing a ½ or full-face respirator. Be alert and observe, correct, and report unsafe conditions. Follow operating procedures and comply with all regulatory requirements.

Ensure that appropriate task training has been completed and documented for all equipment, vehicles, and systems.
