Production Technician – Toledo, IA

Corteva Agriscience is hiring a Production Technician to support the growth of seed production at our Toledo, Iowa location. You will be part of a team that drives breakthrough science and technology to better the lives of people worldwide.

What You Will Do
  • Participate in harvest activities such as preparation, drying, shelling, husk oversight, product unloading, and other relevant processes.
  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant, field, and warehouse operations that evolve with each season throughout the year.
  • Accurately monitor highly automated equipment for processes such as harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packing.
  • Use automation and computerized systems (computers and iPads) to perform work tasks.
  • Perform warehouse activities such as forklift operation, collecting samples, palletizing, and other duties as assigned.
  • Support field activities including scouting, inspection, and logistics management.
  • Assist with product return, sorting, and conditioning activities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED. Ability to obtain a GED within 12 months of hire is required.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Physical ability to climb, stand, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs. Work in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions.
  • Comfortable with technology and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, multitasking, and an organized workplace.
  • Team‑player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
  • Commitment to safety, adherence to protocols, and willingness to work rotating shift, overtime, nights, and weekends.
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Associate’s Degree in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
  • At least one year of related experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or operations.
  • Experience with LEAN principles (5S, Continuous Improvement, Standardized Work).
  • Knowledge of field and/or agricultural equipment (plows, tractors, forklifts).
